Shaffer: Richland Township Awarded Traffic Light Funding
February 28, 2025
RICHLAND – Rep. Jeremy Shaffer (R-Allegheny) today announced the funding of traffic safety improvements through the PennDOT Automated Red-Light Enforcement (ARLE) program. The program helps communities across the Commonwealth.
Richland Township will be awarded $235,000 for new traffic signal installation at the intersection of Gibsonia Road (Route 910) and Community Center Drive.
“Ensuring that our citizens are kept safe and provided with adequate traffic safety measures is of the utmost importance. Richland Township identified the intersection on 910 near the Pine-Richland Youth Center (PRYC) as an area in need of a traffic signal,” Shaffer said. “Traffic on 910 has been increasing and for users of the PRYC, other area businesses, and local residents it has been increasingly difficult to make turns on to 910 from Community Center Drive. I am happy to support Richland and all our municipalities in securing state funding to meet their needs.”
